9 Tips for your First Year in Network Marketing

One of the biggest mistakes made by most who join the Network Marketing Industry is not treating the business like a business, they treat it more like a hobby hence like most hobbies you will end up spending money not making it.  So to ensure you and the people you bring into your team maximise their results and you all achieve success in Network Marketing here are a 9 tips to help you keep your focus and achieve your objectives.

Tip #1 – Treat you business like a business. Get absolute clarity on your goals what do you want to achieve from the business in the first 3 months 6 months 9 months 1year. Set your goals not just on what you want from the business but also what you intend to give, like how many hours of your time.

Tip#2 – Your Network Marketing busienss will grow as fast as you do. Expanding who you are and your abilities will not only reward you financially, there will also be huge rewards in greater self confidence and grater passion for life. Invest in some really good reading material. Possible the number one book I would recommend is still Napoleon Hills think and Grow Rich I have adopted this book as my hand book of life, best investment you can make. I also highly recommend How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. Amazing material is available from the Master Jim Rohn and a terrific book by Jeff Olsen called the slight edge. To maximise your potential I recommend you read for 15-30 mins every day. You will be amazed at the impact it has.

Tip # 3– Start work straight away don’t wait until you know it all, the person who brought you into the business is there to help you so get to work – 80% of this business is talking to people, so start talking to people, NOW and set yourself a minimum daily contact number 2 a day is a good place to start.

Tip # 4 – Don’t reinvent the wheel – follow the system of the person who brought you into the Network Marketing Industry. Duplication is the key to success in this business, you can duplicate a system however you cannot duplicate a person. My rule of thumb on systems is this, follow the system of the person who is your mentor or sponsor and stick with it, to the letter, until you have become more successful than they are then if you want to change it do it then, not before

Tip # 5 – Learn all about your company and the compensation plan if you are going to talk to people about how to make money then you will need to know how your compensation plan works. Ask your upline or sponsor to go through it with you until you get it don’t be afraid to ask questions

Tip # 6 – Go to as many company events and meetings as you can and take as many guests or prospects along with you as you can. The best promoters are usually up the top of the pay plan, because they know the power of promoting events and meetings. When you attend a meeting you will see what other types of people are in the business you will hear great personal stories so many of them are so uplifting they will really inspire you.

Tip # 7 – Make a long term commitment to the business – there will be times of setback or disappointment the people you thought were going to join don’t, or someone you thought was going to be a super star joins you and then decides there is others things that are more important to them right now. Its life these things will happen DON’T QUIT, get straight on the phone to your upline and get yourself back on track. These things that don’t seem to go according to what we think the plan should be always end up being a huge benefit in the long term, we create greater skills and build much more strength from what appears to be an adversity, be like me fail your way to success don’t quit halfway.

Tip #8 – Learn the Industry, the financial and personal rewards in this business are amazing. So learn about it after all if you wanted to be top of your game in any other Industry wouldn’t you want to know about that Industry, could you imagine for Instance talking to Bill gates about the computer software Industry and he turned to you and said “Oh I don’t know anything about the Industry only about my company, I really have no idea what’s going on” what would you think?

Tip # 9 – Once you have begun to learn the business help as many other people as you can to achieve their goals. Help others learn what you know, share you stories help the new one understand if this go wrong it’s okay they are not failing it’s just the way it is.
